Description:The Young Scholars Program is designed for ambitious Philadelphia area students interested in the intellectual challenge and rigorous pace of a true undergraduate experience. Young Scholars commute to Penn’s campus to attend summer courses within one of our two summer sessions. Young Scholars attend classes alongside Penn undergraduates and are evaluated by the same academic standards and procedures as regular Penn students. All students have access to our outstanding academic resources, including libraries, university learning resources, college admission workshops and a Penn-appointed academic advisor. Young Scholars can pursue their favorite discipline beyond the level offered in secondary schools, get ahead on their college applications or explore a brand new field that interests them.
