Description:Make your college application stand out from the crowd through our College Prep program. Our three-week program prepares you with the tools you need to gain a competitive edge and get a head start on college. Our program concentrates on five main areas: SAT/ACT preparation, English, math or introduction to logic, study skills, and intellectual discovery. You’ll learn valuable test-taking tips for the SAT and ACT, choose between strengthening your algebra and precalculus skills or taking an introduction to logic course, and work closely with instructors to craft a personal statement for college applications. Throughout the program, you’ll also have the opportunity to engage with admissions advisors through workshops and college tours in the D.C. area.
Essay Pompts:Write a 300- to 500-word personal statement describing why you want to attend the Summer High School Programs at Georgetown University.
Letter of Recommendation:Provide the contact information of your current high school school counselor (preferred), teacher, or principal who will be able to speak to your overall academic readiness for the program and can verify your current GPA.
Other requirements:Show evidence of good academic standing, with at least a 2.0 GPA Have no history of suspension from high school
