Description:As a Student Leader, you will participate in an eight-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization where you will learn first-hand about the needs of your community and the critical role nonprofits play. In addition, you will learn valuable civic, social and business leadership skills. Each Student Leader will attend the Student Leaders Summit held in Washington, D.C. where you will learn how government, business and the nonprofit sector work together to address critical community needs.
Essay Pompts:1. Focusing on one or two of these activities (significant community or volunteer activity), please tell us the following: - The name of the organization and your leadership role; - How the organization postively impacts the community; - What inspired you to participate; - What you learned from the experience; and - How your participation contributed to the impact of the organization. (1000 character maximum) 2. Desscribe a leadership challenge you have encountered and the personal growth you achieved from facing the challenge? (1000 character maximum) 3. What challenges do you see in your community and how do you see yourself addressing those challenges now and in the future? (1000 character maximum) 4. Name one person (other than a family member) who has influenced your life or who inspires you and how? (1000 character maximum) 5. As you consider qualities of a successful leader, where do you see your opportunities for personal growth? (1000 character maximum) 6. Why do you want to be a Bank of America Student Leader and why should you be chosen? (2000 character maximum)

Other requirements:Be able to participate in an 8-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization and work 35 hours a week Be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship through the end of September 2019 Be able to participate in a week-long Student Leaders Summit in Washington, DC (Summer 2019 — check back for dates) (All expenses paid. This week will be part of your 8-week experience.)
