Feel free to contact me with questions at any time.
Below are some frequently asked questions.
The answer to these questions can be found on my accompanying blog. I recommend starting with this post and exploring the others.
Navigating the site is easy! You can search by university, by program type, by price and even by …Pick one and start. I will be working to add more search factors in the future.
I try to update the information as quickly as possible. All information should have dates and a direct link to that programs website. If any information is incorrect or you want to make a program suggestion to add please contact me.
Currently the database is a one-woman show. I’ve chosen to focus on high school programs and to give the most basic pertinent information. I wanted students/parents to be aware of all the choices available to them. Hopefully in the future I will be able to add that information.
If a program doesn’t have any of those three labels then it’s because of one of two things: 1. Neither of those three labels fits the program. For example, a program like USCs is not pay and go (you need to write an essay, send in transcripts and have a teacher letter of recommendation) but apply early enough and have decent stats then chances are high you’ll get in. 2. I don’t know enough about the program to definitively label it at this point.

I have two options: telephone or Skype.
Maybe you don’t but you must be curious! It depends on the student whether they need help. I created this website to give you free reign. Check out the different options and find what fits you. Much of the time writing the essay is common sense, which is why I freely give advice on my blog. But maybe you want that extra personalized help? Maybe you don’t know which program is right for you? Maybe your content is good but your grammar is atrocious. Or maybe you just struggle with writing. As for why me – I have experience. I’ve helped students apply and get into various summer programs including COSMOS, Boston University RISE and more. I’ve also worked with students applying to colleges, including working on their essays. Former students have been accepted at universities across the nation including Boston College, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Emory and more. I can help you craft essays that show off your personality, your skills and your potential. Or I can do a grammar check and make sure your essay is ready to go. It’s always your choice.
1. I don’t guarantee acceptance into any summer program. A summer program application can consist of many parts: grades, activities involved in, test scores, research experience, interview, work sample, letter of recommendations and finally essays. I help with only one part and can not control what you come in with. 2. I don’t nag. You are paying for a service. If I ask you to correct something, provide me with additional information or just start the draft, you should do it. 3. I don’t write essays for you. I guide, I give suggestions and I edit. I don’t elevate language past your ability and I don’t make things up to make your essay “sound better”. The work is yours. I just provide the help.
One of the things that I passionately believe is that resources related to opportunities and access to college should be freely available to all students. You shouldn’t have to pay an academy to get access to their “secret resource list” when its easily found on the Internet. That’s one of the reasons why I started this website. But students also need help. It isn’t always easy. Why is why I’m proud to donate 5% of my profits to College Track, which works with students in low-income communities to unlock their potential and matriculate into college.
